About Lauren
She has performed internationally in Israel, Austria, Germany, and the United States, including appearances with the Vienna Opera Academy and the Berlin Opera Academy, where she appeared in leading roles. As a concert soloist, she has appeared in Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, and Berlioz’s Les nuits d’été, working within large-scale symphonic vocal repertoire. In addition, she has performed chamber repertoire including Schubert’s Der Hirt auf dem Felsen and selections from Spohr’s Sechs Deutsche Lieder.
Mimouni has worked with conductors including Louis Lohraseb, Yoav Talmi, Tobi Purser, Yi-An Xu, Ronen Burshevsky, Alessandro Pagliazzi, and Carlos Spierer, and continues to develop her musicianship through collaborations with coaches and directors in both academic and professional settings. She is a recipient of an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (Kansas City District, 2026), and has received First Prize in the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Voice Competition (2025), as well as Second Prize in the Paul Ben-Haim Competition (2022).
Mimouni continues to build an international presence as a young artist, including upcoming participation in the International Meistersinger Academy in Germany.
Lauren Mimouni is a French-American-Israeli soprano currently pursuing a Master of Music in Classical Voice Performance at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she studies with Robin Rice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Voice Performance from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. Her work is characterized by a strong attention to text, musical line, and stylistic clarity across a broad range of repertoire.
Mimouni’s operatic repertoire includes Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), and Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), with additional repertoire including Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte). Her repertoire spans both operatic and concert works, with an emphasis on clarity of expression and character.
